How do we collect personal information?

In person, by email and phone

We collect your name and preferred contact details when providing you with framing services and with a quotation for framing services. These are stored securely on our computerised framing programme.

We do not store or keep details of payment cards or other financial data.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form on our website we collect the personal information you enter so that we can respond to your enquiry. We also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

Newsletter subscription

If you choose to subscribe to our email newsletter on our website we collect the information you enter (name and email) and your IP address which helps us avoid sending unwanted emails to spam email addresses.

We may ask if you would like to be included in our email newsletter distribution list when communicating with you in person or by email about your order. If you confirm that you would we will include you in our distribution list to receive occasional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.

You may unsubscribe from our email newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email.

If you do unsubscribe from our email newsletter, we store your details on a suppression list to ensure you do not receive emails from us again. 

Comments

If you leave comments on our website (for example, on our blog posts) we collect the data shown in the comments form. We also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar (Globally Recognised Avatar) service to see if you are using it.

If you don’t use Gravatar then a WordPress administrator’s default icon will appear next to your comments.

If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
